My Version of the Stitched Card

My niece is having twins in June.  Today was her baby shower.  I thought an umbrella shape would work well with the stitching technique.  The tutorial is over at Lawn Fawn.  I didn't use a stamp because I didn't have an umbrella stamp so I did an image search on the internet.

I also made an envelope from the tutorial over at Lawn Fawn - it is the perfect size for an A2 card.   Mine is sort of boring made from white paper - but the patterned paper was to heavy so I added accents from the patterned paper.

Stitch A Card

How cute is this card:

You have to go over to the Lawn Fawn Blog and watch the video made by Marie.  I love this technique and can't wait to give it a try.  I think I will see if I have an umbrella stamp to make a baby shower card for this weekend.  More Lawn Fawn love!!!!

I just participated in my first Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.  Check out all the entires for this week here.   Here is the sketch for the challenge:

Here is my entry.  I now realize I have my banner on the wrong side of the sentiment strip.  Oh well, I enjoyed making this card.  The paper I used is from Lawn Fawn - Pink Lemonade.  I used the Beaded Circles and a circle die from Spellbinders.  My sentiment and the pinwheel (it actually spins!) are from Lawn Fawn's Cruising Through Life stamp set.  Did I mention yet in this post that I love Lawn Fawn.

Head over to Mojo Monday for lots of inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Lawn Fawn.  I went to visit my daughter near San Diego this weekend and it happen to be Lawn Fawn's, my favorite stamp company, 3rd Birthday party at Stamp Fever in Orange, California.  Kelly Marie, she owns Lawn Fawn with her husband, was at the shop doing a make and take.  We had the best time.  Here is a picture of the make and take that my daughter made.  Kelly showed Megan how to ink up the heart stamp and stamp it 3 times to get the different shades of color.

My daughter and I were mentioned and our picture was on  Stamp Fever's Blog.

Here is a card I made inspired by the cards at Stamp Fever in the Lawn Fawn display.
